Bio

John Bracken became the Executive Director of the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) in 2017. A Chicago native, Bracken received his undergraduate degree from the Claremont Colleges’ Pitzer College, and a Master’s degree from the Annenberg​ ​School​ ​for​ ​Communication​,​ ​at the University​ ​of​ ​Pennsylvania. Bracken previously worked at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Ford Foundation and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Michael Della Bitta has been DPLA Director of Technology since 2016, where he was previously Developer for Data and Usage Analytics. Prior to joining DPLA he worked at ScribbleLive, New York Public Library, and Columbia University. Della Bitta holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Bates College.
