Snapshot Sessions: Metadata Approaches at UNLV

Darnelle Melvin, UNLV

Abstract

This presentation shares our vision for metadata management as we build our future digital asset management system that supports semantic queries and visualizations, and other digital services and applications.  I will also discuss some approaches we have implemented in anticipation of migrating our digital collections out of CONTENTdm and into a FEDORA repository.  The reason why I am sharing this with you all, is to disseminate what we have, and will learn with the greater cultural heritage community.
