Abstract

MWDL Metadata & Systems Overview first covers the current profile of MWDL membership and metadata statistics for YTD 2018. It further provides an overview of the OAI-PMH protocol, metadata auditing and harvesting practices using OAI-PMH, introduces the Metadata Application Profile revision taskforce, and continues with a demonstration of ExLibris Primo’s new interface. The ongoing ILS RFP by MWDL’s host institution, J. Willard Marriott Library, is discussed and the presentation concludes with an introduction of the new MWDL Metadata Assistant, Keegan Dohm.

Bio

Teresa Hebron is the Digital Metadata Librarian at Mountain West Digital Library. Prior to joining MWDL, she worked from 2007-2016 with an ILS systems vendor doing software support, installation, and project management work with libraries worldwide. Teresa is a 2007 graduate of University of Michigan’s School of Information with a specialization in Library and Information Services (MSI-LIS).
